I've read Sept, Oct, and Nov's newsletters and I must say the one about Struggle really hit home for me. I would tell someone I would struggle with porn and need prayer and yet I would be at home on my computer view websites and or movies. After reading that I realized how much was I truly struggling with or was I just merely feeding the addiction. I knew I needed to get out of it but how? I mean every church I had ever been to I felt I couldnt fit in because of this problem. After attending the church I go to now I realized that I wasn't alone and that other Christian men had this problem as well and they were open about it and didn't hide it. I knew I could be healed and gain control of this addiction. I find it that if you don't feed the addiction then there's no problem and it doesn't control you. I will admit I sometimes stumble with my thought life but with Christ being there I can take all my thoughts into captivity. I had to pull down alot of strong holds that Satan had in my life. Through our church and Will's help and advice tearing down the strong holds wasn't hard to do at all no matter how painful it was. Giving God everything was very easy even though it was somewhat humiliating but you know what God wasn't the least bit shocked at what He found or what I gave Him because He was with me during that dark time period. I give God all the glory and all the thanks for allowing me such great men of God to come into my life to help build a new foundation in Christ Jesus and allow me to grow. I know God can use me to His glory in helping others. I also dont have to be afraid of sharing my struggles with others because again Im not alone. Satan doesn't have a hold of me any more not that he did in the first place. He lied to me and the only reward Ive recieved from him was anger and depression. God has made His promises known and His promises are true. Trusting Him was hard at first but now all I have to do is allow God to lead me through. I know He's there. Maybe I was like Peter at one time and took my eyes off Jesus and sank into the water. I had to allow God to help me and in doing that I was able to learn how to trust again.

And when all is said and done I can go home :D

Mike, that meant alot to me and the guys. I was especially moved by this line: "but you know what God wasn't the least bit shocked at what He found or what I gave Him...", and I intend to use that statement in an upcoming message at my church. If that's okay with you! (lol)
